That would follow conventional logic This certainly isn't the case with smooth pipe. The tests should be done at the operating pressures, which Ash plans to do. For that matter, the tests should be done at operating temperature as well, as air viscosity varies substantially with temperature. Comparing a smooth pipe to an intercooler is pointless.
